Softball
Tri-Village Association is ASA sanctioned for U10 and U12 levels of softball. U8 softball is Pony sanctioned, but will follow all ASA rules of play.  All softball levels of play are governed by the ASA Handbook except as modified by the following TVA softball By-Laws.

REVIEW OF BAT RULE CHANGES
(See Rule Book for a more descriptive version)
 1)    All 2 3/4 bats are illegal.
 2)    All 2 5/8 bats that are -3 ratio (length/weight) must be BBCOR certified.  
        (See Rule Book for more information.)

 3)    All 2 1/4 bats must be stamped with a BPF of 1.15 and labeled “approved for Pony play.” 
        (See Rule Book (8- C -2) for more information.)

 4)    All 2 5/8 bats that are -5, -7, etc. are legal at the Pony age level and below.
 5)    Only certified 2 5/8 (-3) BBCOR bats are allowed at the Colt age level and above.
 6)    Wood bats that are no larger than 2 5/8 inches in diameter, nor more than 42 inches
         in length are considered legal.

The BBCOR decertification process has been implemented on the following bat(s):

Reebok Vector TLS 33-inch model
Marucci CAT5 33-inch model
Marucci CAT5 34-inch model
Marucci Black 33-inch model
Marucci Black 34-inch model
Nike – CX2-BT0636 (light grey)
Nike – CX2-BTO573 (dark grey)
Nike – CX2-BTO598 (blue)


The BPF decertification process has been implemented on the following bat(s):

Louisville Slugger (Hillerich & Bradsby) TPX Dynasty - 12 bat (Model - YB12D - black/red/grey)
Mattingly Balistk (Model: BTKYB) Blue)


These bats should be considered a non-compliant bat in accordance with PONY Rule:  8-C (3) and subject to PONY Rule 18-E (6).
They are ILLEGAL!
